The Chiefs used a number of 3rd and 4th down stops to preserve their first preseason victory since 2008 with a win over Green Bay 17-13. The Chiefs led 14-3 at halftime. Matt Cassel had a TD pass in playing three series at the helm, he also led a drive that resulted in a missed FG and threw an interception.
The Chiefs ran the football for their second score, capping an 8 play 95 yard drive with a 1 yard Jackie Battle TD.
Roster cuts are now looming, with the Chiefs needing to get down to the 53 man roster on Saturday. They will open the regular season on September 13th in game three of the Monday night tripleheader against San Diego.
