And then there was one.
We have almost reached the end of our magical journey known as training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri and contrary to last year a lot has been accomplished up in the Northwest woods of Missourah. The Kansas City Chiefs learned how to have fun again. After being in a horrible situation the past few years with Todd Haley as coach, the Chiefs finally remembered this is just a game they have been playing since they were kids. Coach Crennel and Brian Daboll have already had major impacts on this program. Crennel has a hands off approach with Daboll who runs the offensive side of things as efficiently as any coordinator I have seen this side of Al Saunders. The players respect these coaches and it shows on the field.
Enough about the feeling, the big question is, how do the Chiefs look? Well, I think they look good. They need to get Bowe back, but once he comes in, the offense will be rolling along. The team suffered a minor scare on Wednesday. Jon Baldwin left practice for a brief time with an injury but returned and was fine. Brandon Flowers was not at practice for the second consecutive day. Concerns are mounting. Hopefully he is back with the team tomorrow.
A new wrinkle in practice today. Jacques Reeves played left corner with the ones today, giving Stanford routt a spell. Jalil Brown filled in for Flowers again.
The Chiefs will take to the field at 3:20 on Thursday for the final practice of Training Camp 2012.
All for now….
