We are closing in on Christmas morning and I don't know about you, but my kids can't wait for Santa to pay them a visit.  Its always a great time of year for the kids but sometimes the adults get forgotten.  I want to make sure the folks who take care of our teams get something special under the tree this year.  So it's time to pass out the gifts...and NO...I won't be coming down the chimey this year.

Dayton Moore- I give him a crystal ball so he can see what the free agent market is going to hold for Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas.  As we sit here now, (Dec 21) neither guy has signed.  That may be good news for the Royals if they want to retain them.  However, I don't want the ball club to over pay.  The crystal ball lets Dayton see into the future so we can make a great offer to keep those guys in KC.

Andy Reid- I think he got his gift at the beginning of December when he unwrapped Matt Nagy as the new play caller.  Talk about a great mid season pick up!  He ranks right up there with the Royals getting Ben Zobrist back in July of 2015.  Let's hope he pays off the same way that Zobrist did for the Royals...with a title!

Ned Yost- I think we all want to give him a speedy recovery from his injury.  No one has done a 180 in KC like Ned.  When he first arrived fans weren't fired up...now he's become one of us and we all love him.  Not a day goes by where someone doesn't ask me how he's doing.  Get well fast Ned we are all rooting for you!

Kelley l Cox USA Today

Alex Smith- I want him to feel the love on Sunday from Chiefs fans.  It will most likely be his final regular season home game in KC.  We need to send him out with some love.  He has won a ton of games since his arrival and is setting passing records left and right.  Hopefully he can get it done with the rest of his team this January.

Peter Vermes- He needs a lifetime contract to run Sporting KC.  I am putting that under the tree for him this year.  When you think about it, he is the most successful professional coach our city has ever seen. I think at times we take him for granted.  He's been great.

Denny Medley USA Today

Matt Nagy- A head set that can turn Andy Reid off during games without the big guy knowing.  I would hate to have him get in the way of calling plays.  Nagy has been fantastic in his 3 games and if he continues to call them like this and the team executes there is no telling where this team may end up.

Jay Biggerstaff USA Today

KC Fans- A Super Bowl.  I want nothing more for our town to finally experience the joy of getting to a Super Bowl.  I don't know about you, but that would be the best Christmas gift ever!

Have a wonderful safe holiday!  Rest up...we have a long January of playoff football ahead of us and the team will need all of us supporting them on the road to Minneapolis!
