Venus Williams Blamed in Deadly Car Crash

TMZ: Tennis Star Allegedly ‘At Fault’ in Crash in Florida That Killed Senior Citizen

According to the website TMZ, professional tennis player Venus Williams is being blamed for a car crash that landed an elderly man in the ICU and eventually passed away two weeks later.

The victim, Jerome Barson was 78 years old and died two weeks later in an intensive care unit Sunday.

From the New York Daily News: "Barson’s wife reportedly told police she T-boned Williams’ SUV traveling westbound in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., after the athlete abruptly entered an intersection northbound.

According to the police report, Venus is listed at fault for "violating the right of way of of [the other driver>." The report also lists that there was no evidence Williams was under any influence of alcohol, drugs or distracted by a device.
