Patrick Mahomes Begins His Chiefs Career

Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs rookies begin minicamp today.  It will be all the draft picks including the undrafted free agents. Let the new era begin even though we probably won't see Mahomes until 2018.  Some say 2019 but the Chiefs can move on from Alex Smith after the year and save considerable money.

Looking at running back Kareem Hunt to have the biggest first year impact of the Chiefs rookies. The Chiefs are thin at running back and Kareem Hunt should provide the jolt they have been looking for.  Kareem led the MAC in rushing last year and improved his catches out of the backfield from 11 his junior year to 41 his senior year.
