Alex Gordon became part of history tonight as he hit the 5,694 home run of the season making this season as the top season ever for home runs in MLB history.   The previous record was set in 2000.

The baseball Alex hit is off to Cooperstown:

The Royals have been helping this number as they set a franchise record when Sal Perez homered and made it the 169th Royals home run for KC back on September 6th

Of course Mike Moustakas has tied Steve Balboni for the team record for home runs and we wait for him to hit #37 and for him to stand alone as the record holder.
