Youngest ever snowboarder and first men's single luge medal

It was 17 year old Red Gerard who brought home the first gold medal for the United States at the Winter Games in the snowboard slopestyle.  Red becomes the youngest U.S. snowboarder to medal.

Making history it was also luger Chris Mazdzer by winning silver and the first ever men's single luge medal for the United States.

On the women's side it was Jamie Anderson who won a gold as well in the slopestyle for Team USA's second gold medal.  She becomes the first female to win 2 golds in snowboarding.
