Usually when I hear "one of a kind" or "state of the art" or "world-class" I roll my eyes.  But in this case, it may not be enough of a description.  Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes helped unveil Sporting KC's newest crown jewel, Pinnacle, to the media ahead of the squad's first practice at their new joint venture training facility.  Pinnacle is a truly one of a kind collaboration between Sporting KC, US Soccer and Children's Mercy's Sports Medicine Center built near Children's Mercy Park in Wyandotte County.  The $75 million facility is the new training center for Sporting, with space to host the US National Men's or Women's soccer teams for training in addition to year round training for coaches and referees.

Vermes seems like he's gotten every wish with this new facility.
