Now It's On Andy Reid

Alex Smith melts down again.

Last week, I called for Patrick Mahomes to start vs. Buffalo.

I was ridiculed quite a bit, as one could imagine, and that’s fine. People wanted to roll with Alex Smith, especially since he had such a strong start to the 2017 season.

But when a player has lost it, he has lost it. Andy (and many others) wanted to play the wait and see game with Alex, and they waited and saw a 16-10 catastrophe against the Bills today in Arrowhead.

At this point, it's on Andy Reid. Alex Smith clearly has zero confidence to lead the Chiefs to anything. If Andy can't see that, it's on him.

Alex Smith could seemingly only complete screen passes, and even those were sometimes off-target.

The cherry on top was Alex Smith, after being gifted 15 yards by one of the worst personal foul calls in the history of football, throwing the game away to the Bills.

It’s time, it has been time. Andy Reid needs to look past his gigantic play sheet, and put in Patrick Mahomes.
