Soler and Gordon -- The Likeliest of Heroes

Are we in the Twilight Zone?

Moving past the fact that I've been taking so many bullets on these guys's bandwagons that I am a walking piece of swiss cheese, it's somehow real life that Alex Gordon and Jorge Soler are the two best offensive forces in Kansas City right now.

Alex Gordon is currently hitting .303 on the season. It's not a massive sample size for Alex because of injury, but when we're talking about a guy that hit .208 in 2017 and .220 in 2016, this kind of offensive explosion (yes, explosion) makes you want jump up with your fist in the air and get caught in a freeze-frame like a 1980s movie.

Jorge Soler had a stretch that was so rough, it even made me wonder if his bat was cursed. Since that stretch of 0 for infinity, Jorge Soler hasn't just found his swing, he has burst onto the scene.

In fact, Soler's numbers have drawn some interesting comparisons....

This is the kind of thing we need to be looking for with a team that is currently bottom 3 in the AL. We need to look for legitimate signs of life, and of course, they come from 2 guys many Royals fans had already written off.

There's plenty of room on the Gordo/Soler train, and even if you don't want to buy in yet, I'll save a seat for you.
